Walk into any room with confidence
A lively, practical one-day course with tools and techniques for meeting new people, working the room and building lasting business relationships – delivered at your premises or live online.
Business networking events can be a daunting prospect: standing on the sidelines looking out at a room of unknown faces, not knowing where to begin, how to join a group or how to get beyond “What do you do?” and the weather. Our popular networking course takes a lively, practical approach, with tools and techniques for meeting new people, creating and maintaining meaningful conversations, working the room and nurturing good business relationships – at events and in everyday working life.
It pairs well with our Assertiveness & Confidence and Face to Face Selling courses. Browse all our management & leadership training courses, or run this course as a live remote class via Microsoft Teams.
Verbal and non-verbal communication, emotional intelligence and active listening.
Playing the host, handshakes with impact and always having something to say.
Joining and leaving groups, approaching strangers, entry and exit lines.
Rapport, your elevator pitch and building relationships beyond the event.
In-house half-day and full-day prices are per course for up to 6 attendees, plus £45 + VAT for each additional attendee. The actor-led option is quoted individually and is not limited by group size.
Anyone who represents the business at events, conferences, exhibitions or client meetings – from business development and sales staff to managers and directors. No previous training is needed.
Anyone who has to network on behalf of the business – and especially those who find events daunting and want practical techniques rather than theory.
Very. Attendees practise introductions, joining groups, starting and steering conversations and their elevator pitch throughout the day.
Yes. The in-house fee covers delivery at your premises or as a live online class via Microsoft Teams – same trainer, same content, same materials.
Yes – every in-house course starts with a free training needs analysis, so the examples, exercises and emphasis are built around your organisation and the situations your people actually face.
Our actor-led option adds professional actors to the training day, so your managers practise real conversations with someone who responds exactly as a colleague would – and get feedback on how it landed. Find out more about training with professional actors.
Every attendee receives reference materials and a course completion certificate, and we provide free post-course telephone and email support.
Our half-day and full-day in-house prices are based on groups of up to 6 people, and the actor-led option can be run for any group size. If you have a larger team, or several teams to train, please speak with one of our team to discuss this further. We will help you work out the best way to run it and put together a tailored quote.
