Give your staff confidence with data protection
A clear, practical introduction to the GDPR for staff – covering compliance, personal data, individuals’ rights and how to avoid and respond to data breaches – delivered at our venues, at your premises or live online.
This one-day instructor-led GDPR course provides a clear introduction to the main elements of the GDPR and what is best practice. It covers compliance and the consequences of non-compliance, explains the roles of key players, and covers the main categories of personal data and the lawful basis for data processing. Other topics include the rights of individuals, the importance of your Privacy Policy, and data breaches – how to avoid them, what to do if one is discovered and how to file a breach report.
It pairs well with our Cyber Security Awareness course, or run it as a live remote session via Microsoft Teams.

GDPR and data protection are law. If you are a business, organisation or charity of any size that holds personal information, it applies to you. GDPR requires organisations to demonstrate staff awareness and compliance, and one day of training helps you understand the background and scope of the regulation, satisfy the requirement to train staff, and reduce the risk of data breaches, fines and reputational damage.
Staff will learn how to handle personal data correctly, recognise risks, follow organisational policies and respond appropriately to data protection issues.
